1 Corinthians 16:9
For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

About Us

Kendall Wadley
I grew up in a Christian home, but it took some interesting circumstances to get me there.  As a week-old baby, I was put into foster care with the Wadley family.  My birth mother was a drug addict, and my birth father had died in a car accident before I was born.  Because of my mother's addictions, there was no way she could care for a child.  A doctor she visited part way through her pregnancy was quite angry with her that she had waited so long to come to him.  Now it was too late for her to have an abortion.  I believe the Lord had His hand in that, because if my mother had gone to the doctor earlier, I would have been killed.  When my birth mother went into labour, she passed out in a ditch by a roadway, was found by a passer-by and taken to the hospital.  Again, I could have died, but the Lord protected me.

I was the first foster child the Wadley's took in.  They adopted me several years later, and went on to adopt four more children after me.  My Dad always brought me to church and Sunday School.  When I was 5 years old I prayed and asked Jesus to be my Saviour and forgive me of my sins.  I attended Christian school through high school and went on to Bible college in 2003.  Part way through my third year of Bible college, I stayed out of school for a year to loose weight.  The Lord used that time in my life to teach me many lessons.  My weight was out of control, and it needed to change.  After my weight loss, I finished College, and then had the opportunity to minister in the United Kingdom helping with church planting works over there.

In December, 2011 I made a trip back to the USA, because my Dad and my sister were both battling cancer.  I planned on returning to the UK about two weeks later, but the Lord shut that door.  I did not want to stay in the States, but I knew God had a reason for keeping me there.  I enrolled in Crown Seminary to finish my Master's degree, and was asked to travel with a singing group that summer.  That's when I met Jessica.

God's plans are never our plans, but God's plans are MUCH better than our plans.  Jessica and I will be living in North Bay, Ontario and working in the Near North Baptist Church.  I believe that God is going to use us greatly to see souls saved in North Bay.

I had the privilege of being born into a Christian family.  I attended church ever since I can remember, and even before that.  At the age of 5 I prayed and asked Jesus to be my Saviour and forgive me of my sin.  I grew up in Sunday school, memorizing Scripture, and learning Bible stories.  I was also home schooled from grades 4-12.  I guess you could say I was the typical church kid.  I used to think I had a boring testimony, because nothing exciting had ever happened to me.  I didn't have a dramatic conversion of being saved from a lifestyle of sin and wickedness.  I just went to church, did my school work, and tried to live as best I could.  Eventually I came to realize that my testimony is exciting.  I realized that God in His graciousness saved me from actually living a horrible life of sin.  I am so thankful that the Lord saved me at a young age, and I didn't have to have experiences that would have left terrible emotional or physical scars.

I started Bible College in 1999, and graduated with a Bachelor of Sacred Music Degree in 2003.  After graduation I worked at FaithWay Baptist College of Canada, the school I had attended, for another three years.  In the spring of 2006, God used various circumstances to move me back to my hometown in North Bay, Ontario.  I began to teach music lessons there, and eventually went on to purchase my own home, and start my own music studio business.  I remained in church as a single lady, teaching Sunday school, playing the piano, and helping in whatever way I could.  In May 2012 I met Kendall.  I was 30 years old at the time, and really had no thoughts of "trying to find a husband."  Been there.  Done that. :).  However, the Lord had other plans, and Kendall and I were married just a little over a year later in July, 2013.
